image of green starThis is Ms. Gould, checking in weekly to keep everyone updated. There is an important part of this that I will need for you to do online so please so #1 as soon as possible.

Most importantly…..#1 -Transportation information is now available for all parents! It needs to be checked immediately to make sure it is correct. If it is not correct, please contact the school. The transportation department will not make changes until it goes through the school first. Busloads are filling up quickly! Any changes made after 8/14/2020, will not be implemented for the first couple of weeks of school. Parents will need to transport until we let you know their students have been added to a bus route. Transportation changes will take longer this year than in past years due to all the scheduling.

To check transportation information- go to the BCPS website, click on parents, click on resources, click on bus information. Follow the instructions from there. You will need your student id number which most students know as their lunch account number. If you need help knowing what their student id number is please call the school.

Middle school or high school students catching a bus here to ride to a middle/high school they will have stay on their assigned bus and not pick any bus to go to their school. We need to ensure buses have enough space for those shuttles. If a high school or middle school student misses their bus it would be best for parents to just take them onto the school where they are enrolled at as opposed to dropping them off at the closest school as they have done in the past.

We will hold Open House on Tuesday, August 18 for students with the last name beginning with the letters A-L and Wednesday, August 19 for families whose last name begins with M-Z. There will be two different times on those days for you to choose from so that it fits everyone’s busy schedules. You can drop off items and visit from 1-3:00 pm or 5-6:30 pm. You will need to wear a mask with so many people in the building. We are also asking that only ONE (1) adult accompany students. This is the time to say hello, and drop off your school supplies. This is critical, especially this year so that teachers can start organizing and preparing supplies for the year. We prefer to have items ahead of time rather than at the last minute to get everything set.

Information regarding the meal service is expected very soon. Meals would be offered on any day students are not in school.
